How we prepare our content

This page explains where the site's texts and photos come from and how they are checked.

Where the facts come from

The technique, benefits and cautions for every pose, pranayama and shatkarma come from the Hatha Yoga app. They follow classical hatha yoga methodology and have been checked against publicly available school descriptions of the asanas. The site does not change this data: when something is corrected in the app, the site is updated to match.

Site texts

Introductions, breakdowns of common mistakes, answers to questions and sequence descriptions are written separately for the site, in our own words. Drafts are prepared with the help of AI, then a person checks the facts against the app. We make no claims of therapeutic effects and always show the cautions.

Photos

The pose photos were created with AI and checked by hand: the position of the arms, legs and torso is compared with the technique description. Each file's metadata states that the image was generated by AI.

Dates

Each pose page shows an update date: when the pose last changed in the app or the site text was last revised.

Errors

If you spot an inaccuracy, let us know through the app's support page. We fix the data in the app, and the fix then carries over to the site.
